Atom Spectra Android software compatible devices
This topic is about smartphones tested with software of actual version, 1.0 now.
Successful:
Sony Xperia Z - best results HTC One Mini Alcatel One Touch Pixi 3 - unexpectedly good for their price Nexus 5 YotaPhone 2 Leagoo Lead 3 - has strong high-pass filter and noise, but allows to obtain spectra
Unsuccessful:
Samsung Galaxy Star Advance, Lenovo S850 - both have uncontrollable AGC (automatic gain control), the gain take on a new value each 1-2 sec depending on input signal. Final spectrum looks like superposition of several spectra with different gain value. The dispersion of the gain value is 25% approximately.

Alcatel One Touch Pixi 3. This is the cheapest phone with so good audio input I have ever seen!

Re: Atom Spectra Android software compatible devices
My phone has died, and I will be looking for a replacement. My old phone, a Samsung SM-J320A, barely worked - I could tell that the sensor was picking up, but it wasn't working right and the peaks were weak at best (barely above the noise). The reading I've done is that the model has built-in digital noise cancellation on the headset mike input and that it cannot be changed. I would put the Samsung SM J320A in the unsuccessful column.
I need a GSM phone that will run AtomSpectra, has OTG, and isn't tied to a single carrier - any suggestions? (I've made a list of the phones that have been listed so far.)
Thanks!

Re: Atom Spectra Android software compatible devices
New phone - Samsung SM-A205U, works with version 1.04, but not very well with newer versions. I'm using the NanoSmart sensor with it. My old tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0) also works with version 1.04, but there is inadequate information (as of now) to set it up properly.
So we can add the Samsung SM-A205U as working with Atom Spectra
